Notice:
"We want to extend you part of the
recent communication of the INGALA institute regarding the new TCT,
“the Galapagos National Institute (INGALA) started collecting the
Transit Control Card fee (TCT) since February 25th, 2008.
The fee amount is $10 per person according to the resolution of the
INGALA Council No. 022 of December 11th, 2006. The
registering forms issuing process and the fee collection will be
handled at the INGALA counter located at the Quito and Guayaquil
airports.”

For our clients who book their
Galapagos cruise through us we, or our partners in Ecuador, will
process the registration of clients' personal information at
the INGALA web site and accomplish the first step of the TCT process
if the following information is supplied to us:
- Complete names as shown in the passport
- Nationality
- Passport numbers
- Date of birth
In case you decide to pay this fee directly in
Ecuador you will have to register the information directly at the
INGALA counter on the Guayaquil or Quito airport; these counters are
located next to the SICGAL counter.
According to the INGALA’s notification, cruise operators are able to
prepay this Transit Control Card. For that reason we want to extend
you the possibility of prepaying this value before embarking. This
service represents several advantages to you as you will not have to
do additional lines or experience delays on the checking process.
For that reason we strongly suggest you allow us to include this
value in your Galapagos program invoice.
In case you decide to prepay the TCT, our representative in
Quito will give you the INGALA – Galapagos National Park form
already filled including the INGALA’s authorization for their
entrance to the Galapagos Province, the TCT card, cruise and airline
documents.
Important notes:
a) In case you decide to pay the TCT card directly at the INGALA
airport, it will be your responsibility to do the
necessary process with the INGALA representatives in order to obtain
the INGALA – Galapagos National Park form with the INGALA’s
authorization for the entrance to the Galapagos Province and the TCT
card including the payment. Airport
delegates will give the
guests a document including the certification that their personal
information was uploaded in
the INGALA web site, essential document to continue with this
process. As operators we are not
responsible for delays, inconsistencies or missed flights due to
this process. You, the tourist, will need to be at the airport with
three hours of anticipation at least in order to do this process,
the luggage checking at SICGAL and the checking of the cruise and
airline documents with our delegates.
Please take note that you will have to go to the INGALA counter
directly were all the passengers flying to Galapagos in the several
flights will be checked, for that reason you might expect long lines
and delays.
b) INGALA will accept cash payments in US
dollars only and will not accept $50 or $100 bills. |
