Tour Description:
Discover the Napo River and the dense surrounding Amazon Rainforest
while you travel on board the
Manatee Amazon Explorer. During this four day river trip
you will explore rivers, lakes, the amazing forest and visit
locals and natives of the area. You will learn about the
flora and fauna, life and cultures in the rainforest while
enjoying the comfort of a great exploration vessel.
Knowledgeable Naturalist guides will guide you on excursions
and answer all your questions while the crew on board will
do all they can to make your trip a great one.

A day on the Manatee Amazon Explorer begins with breakfast
followed by a morning excursion by motorized canoe or by
foot. The guides may invite you for a
pre-breakfast excursion to take advantage of characteristics
of a specific area. Most mornings there will be an excursion
into the jungle or along the waters in search of birds and
animals of the forest. Lunch will be served on
board (most days) followed by an afternoon excursion. In the evenings there will be briefings by the
guides who will follow up on the days' activities and give
conferences on the flora, fauna and cultures of the area.
All excursions during the
entire trip depend on the water levels of the rivers and
lakes, which fluctuate from season to season, climatic
conditions, wildlife behavior and accessibility to a
location. |
