The local currency in Colombia is the Peso ($).
US dollars and Euros can be exchanged at most major hotels and some
banks while some restaurants and stores in the larger cities will
accept dollars as well. Most International credit cards such as Visa,
Diners Club, BankAmericard, Master Charge and American Express are
accepted in major establishments.
