Tour
Description: Join us on a fifteen
day voyage of Cosmopolitan Brazil visiting Rio de Janeiro,
the majestic falls of Iguassu, the largest city in
South America, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto, the
capital Brasilia and Salvador. This tour allows for plenty
of leisure time in the major cities while during all
scheduled tours you will be accompanied by an English
speaking guide and transportation will be provided in
private deluxe air conditioned vehicles. Hotel
accommodations are included in our preferred hotels during
the tour. Additional excursions are available in each of the
cities to be visited.

Services will begin with your International arrival
at the airport of
Rio de Janeiro. Here you will be welcomed and transferred to
Hotel Orla Copacabana (or similar).

PM - Afternoon tour to
Sugar Loaf going through one of the most traditional neighborhoods
of Rio with magnificent views of the city and ascends by cable car
for a panoramic view of Rio. After descend, continue on a Historical
City Tour of the downtown area of the city. Return to hotel.
EVE - Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
- Rio de Janeiro / Christ
the Redeemer tour
AM -
After breakfast pick up from the hotel for a half day
tour. Today we visit the statue of Christ, the Redeemer, located at
Corcovado Hill. With 30 meters in height it was built in the 1930's
by Landowski (French sculptor) at an altitude of 710 meters above
sea level. Return by the Tijuca Forest,
which covers an area of 3.200 hectares. It's historical attractions
and enchanting spots such as "Cascatinha" waterfall, "Mesa do
Imperador", the mammoth granite table used for Imperial picnics, and
"Alto da Boa Vista" are well worth a visit. Located in the heart of
the city, the "Tijuca" National Park is the largest urban reserve in
the world. Return to hotel.

Iguassu Falls / Transfer out & in - Brazilian Falls
AM -
Transfer to the
airport this morning for the flights
Iguassu Falls, where the borders of Brazil, Argentina and
Paraguay meet. Arrival in Foz de Iguassu and transfer to
Hotel Tropical Das Cataratas (or similar), located in the National Park near
the falls.
PM -
This
afternoon we tour the Brazilian Side of the Falls, passing through
the Iguassu National Park, visiting the Park Museum of local flora
and fauna. Later we proceed to the falls where the trip continues by
foot walking along the falls on a special constructed concrete path,
reach8ing the majestic waterfalls.
Return to the hotel.

Day 7

Paulo / Transfer out & in - City tour

After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flights to
Sao Paulo
where, upon arrival, you will be transferred to
Hotel EstanPlaza Paulista
(or similar).
PM - Afternoon city tour of Sao Paulo, South America’s
biggest urban city which offers unlimited attractions,. The tour
starts at the most picturesque part of the city, in the district of
“Higienópolis”, sky scraping residential buildings predominate the
area here. The residential district of “Pacaembú” is next. There we
discover the soccer stadium of the same name, built for 70,000 fans.
Passing the “Medical Faculty of São Paulo State” plus the “Hospital
das Clinicas”. Along the “Avenida Rebouças” to the South we reach
the “Instituto Butantã - the famous Snake Farm, where poisonous
snakes are “milked” for their venom. The “University Campus” (USP)
is next. Followed by the district of “Morumbí”, where the elite of
São Paulo’s business have got their magnificent mansions - the
“Palacio Bandeirantes“, seat of the State Governor, and the stadium
of Morumbí (for 150,000 fans) are located here. We proceed through
the districts of “Jardim Paulista - Jardim Europa and Jardim
América” (the garden Districts) with elegant mansions, fine
restaurants and most exclusive boutiques. The “Ïbirapuera Park” (a
work of Oscar Niemeyer) lies in the neighborhood – refuge for many
Paulistas at weekends, with interesting installations. Finally we
reach the “Wall Street” of São Paulo, the “Avenida Paulista”, its
skyscrapers of marble and glass presenting the financial and
technical progress of South America’s most prosperous metropolis.
Still a few remnants of the historic São Paulo are found in the old
center of the city – some old mansions and cultural buildings – but
the major part had to give way to the unstoppable progress of this
monster city. The tour ends at the hotel. Balance of day free.

Preto / Sightseeing transfer

In the morning
we begin our transfer by car to
Ouro Preto some 90 kilometers from Belo Horizonte. En route we
tour the region of Ouro Preto & Mariana and have lunch at a
typical restaurant. Arrive at
Pousada Classica
Inn (or similar)
in Ouro
Preto in the afternoon.

This morning city tour of Brasilia visiting the main attractions
such as The “Little Church of Our Lady of Fatima, the Super Blocks”,
the Sanctuary of Don Bosco”, TV and Radio Tower, sports center
“President Medici”, the “Buriti Square”, the Military Sector with
Army Headquarters, “JFK Memorial”, the Metropolitan Cathedral”, the
Esplanade of Ministries, the “Three Powers Square” with the
congress, palace of the resident and the supreme court, the “Place
of Dawn”, the president’s official residence, the “national Theatre”
and the “Embassies Row”.
PM -
Transfer to the
airport and fly to Salvador. Arrival in
Salvador and transfer to

Rosary Church, São Bento Monastery, Castro Alves Square, D'Ajuda
Church, Cathedral Square, Voodoo House (Terreiro de Jesus), Basilica
Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Pelourinho Square, Our Lady of the
Rosary Church, Third Order of Carmo Church, Carmo and remo Museum.

Tonight features “Bahia By Night”, an excursion that takes us to
Solar do Unhão, one of Salvador’s oldest and most atmospheric
buildings, originally used for the importation of slaves. Enjoy a
full buffet of the exotic cuisine of Bahia and a dazzling folklore
show of Bahian music and dance (NOTE:
No dinner show on Sundays)
