 The five star Ariau Amazon Towers
is located in the heart of the Amazon
rainforest, some 35 miles (60 (kilometers)
Northwest from Manaus on the Rio Negro river and
at the beginning of the Anavilhanas Archipelago,
part of the National park of Negro River. It is
the only hotel/lodge built at tree top level in
the Amazon Rainforest and with its unique design
and outstanding accommodations, amenities and
services the Ariau has gained the approval from
the traveling public around the world and is a
"must stay" when visiting this part of the
Amazon.
The hotel/lodge was opened in 1987 and now has 288
comfortable and tastefully decorated units
divided in apartments, suites (located in the towers) and
spacious Tree Houses. All rooms and suites offer
a breathtaking view of the forest while all
furniture, art pieces and decorations inside all
the rooms are authentic hand made by local
native artists.
The Ariau has eight wooden towers that are interlinked by a catwalk system of approximately 8 kilometers, at
30 feet above the ground. As an added service to
their visitors, the Ariau has a number of golf
carts available for rent by the hour to explore
the lodge in comfort.
A wide selection of suites offer guests the utmost in
peace and privacy, some equipped with
Jacuzzi in the bathroom, private pool and
leisure areas, all this located on the top of
awesome giant trees.

Access from Manaus to the hotel/lodge is
possible only by regional boat (2 h.), y fast
boat (50 min.) or by an exciting helicopter
transfer (15 min.).
Facilities at the Ariau Amazon Towers include: 2
swimming pools at the height of treetops, two
observation towers of 41 meters (height), a
panoramic auditorium with capacity for 450
people, fully equipped with audiovisual
resources and a beautiful view of Rio Negro and
the Amazon Forest; 2 restaurants. Your
breakfasts and hot meals, lunch and dinner, are
always served in the typical treetop restaurant
and include several types of meat, birds,
regional fish, pasta, beans, rice,
soup-of-the-day, several salads, fresh homemade
bread, natural juices made of Amazonian fruits,
a wide selection of exotic fruits of the Amazon
and sweet regional desserts. The Ariau also has
a bar, a cyber cafe, a convenience store
and souvenir shops. |
