 The
Jardim da Amazonia Lodge is located some
290 kilometers from
Cuiaba on the border of the Rio Claro river
where two ecosystems meet. It is here where the
transition of the Pantanal and the Amazon occurs
resulting in and enormous variety of flora and
fauna which can not be found elsewhere.
The lodge can only be reached by car from the
city of Cuiaba. Scheduled transfers in air
conditioned cars or vans will give you the first
contact with two ecosystems as your driver takes
you over 170 kilometers of paved and 120
kilometers of unpaved roads to the edge of the
Amazon region North of the
Pantanal.
Accommodations at the lodge are provided either
in bungalows or at the "old Hacienda" now
completely rebuilt and decorated with furniture
of the old time. All accommodations have king
size beds, TV, Fan, Mini-bar and a Balcony.
Meals are served buffet style in the restaurant
next to the pool area. Meals consist of fresh
fish and meats prepared in a variety of ways.
The Lodge's natural pool gets it's water from a
well nearby. |
